Abstract
Development of Medical Personnel to Enhance Competency in Critical Patient Care: A Case Study of Regional Hospitals under the Ministry of Public Health
This research aimed to:
examine the needs and essential competencies required for medical personnel in clinical practice;
develop a training model or curriculum to enhance professional competencies; and
evaluate the effectiveness of the developed medical personnel development model.
The study sample consisted of [number] physicians working in regional hospitals, selected using [specify the sampling method, e.g., stratified random sampling]. The research instruments included a medical personnel development needs assessment questionnaire, a workshop-based training curriculum, and a clinical competency assessment form. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including the mean and standard deviation, as well as the t-test.
The findings were as follows:
Development Needs: Medical personnel demonstrated the highest level of need for competency development in [specify the competency area, e.g., precision medicine or digital health technologies].
Development Model: The developed medical personnel development model comprised four major components:
(1) theoretical learning through an electronic learning (e-learning) system;
(2) simulation-based skills training in realistic clinical scenarios;
(3) supervision and mentoring by specialist physicians; and
(4) immediate feedback and performance evaluation.
Expert evaluation indicated that the model was highly appropriate and highly feasible for implementation.
Effectiveness of the Model: Following participation in the development program, medical personnel achieved significantly higher mean scores in clinical competency and job satisfaction compared with their pre-training scores (p < .05). In addition, the rate of medical errors decreased by [insert percentage]%, demonstrating that the developed model can be effectively applied to improve the quality of healthcare services.
